Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong Electrical bias (70%) and Mechanical experience (30%) to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of high-speed production equipment and site utilities. This role involves carrying out planned, reactive, condition-based and preventative maintenance, while contributing to projects that improve reliability, efficiency and performance.
This is a rotating 3-week shift pattern

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative, reactive and condition-based maintenance on production equipment and site utilities.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including PLC fault finding (Siemens preferred).

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Assist with capital projects and complete minor engineering projects as required.

• Record maintenance activities accurately using a CMMS (SAP experience advantageous).

• Work safely in line with permit-to-work, lockout, health & safety and food safety procedures.

• Support engineering stores management and maintain high housekeeping standards.

• Participate in operational meetings and contribute to engineering best practices.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• A recognised Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent).

• A completed time-served engineering apprenticeship.

• 18th Edition qualification.

• Strong electrical maintenance experience with good mechanical skills.

• Experience fault finding on Siemens PLCs, HMIs and industrial networks.

• Previous experience maintaining high-speed manufacturing equipment, ideally within an FMCG or food production environment.

• The ability to prioritise workloads, communicate effectively and work independently.

• Flexibility to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of TPM, Professional Maintenance (PrM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM).

• Automation training.

• Experience using SAP or other Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

• Continuous improvement and project experience within a manufacturing environment.
