Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong Electrical bias (70%) and Mechanical experience (30%) to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of high-speed production equipment and site utilities. This role involves carrying out planned, reactive, condition-based and preventative maintenance, while contributing to projects that improve reliability, efficiency and performance. This is a rotating 3-week shift pattern
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative, reactive and condition-based maintenance on production equipment and site utilities.
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, including PLC fault finding (Siemens preferred).
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Assist with capital projects and complete minor engineering projects as required.
Record maintenance activities accurately using a CMMS (SAP experience advantageous).
Work safely in line with permit-to-work, lockout, health & safety and food safety procedures.
Support engineering stores management and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Participate in operational meetings and contribute to engineering best practices.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
A recognised Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent).
A completed time-served engineering apprenticeship.
18th Edition qualification.
Strong electrical maintenance experience with good mechanical skills.
Experience fault finding on Siemens PLCs, HMIs and industrial networks.
Previous experience maintaining high-speed manufacturing equipment, ideally within an FMCG or food production environment.
The ability to prioritise workloads, communicate effectively and work independently.
Flexibility to work a rotating 3-shift pattern.
Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of TPM, Professional Maintenance (PrM) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
Automation training.
Experience using SAP or other Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Continuous improvement and project experience within a manufacturing environment.
