Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
As a Production Lead, you will oversee daily operations on the production floor, ensuring food safety, quality, and output standards are consistently met. Responsibilities include leading production operatives, coordinating with cross-functional teams, executing line changeovers, and stepping in for Shift Managers during absences. You will also drive continuous improvement efforts and uphold compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in food production or FMCG (bakery experience is a plus)
Knowledge of production processes, food hygiene, and equipment operation
Proven ability to lead or supervise teams, even informally
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
Desirable Skills:
Organised and able to manage tasks, teams, and documentation efficiently
Effective communicator across shifts and departments
Reliable and confident when stepping up in a leadership capacity
Motivated to learn and grow within the role
