Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering environment, supporting maintenance activities across production machinery and site infrastructure. This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical fault-finding experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a rotating shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

• Use electrical test equipment confidently, including multimeters

• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures

• Complete maintenance documentation and provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives

• Support effective shift handovers and communicate clearly with engineering and production teams

• Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns in line with company procedures

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Electrical bias with strong fault-finding skills

• C&G / NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent

• Experience within an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment

• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

• Confidence using electrical testing equipment

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Desirable Skills:

• Apprenticeship-trained background

• Mechanical maintenance or fabrication experience

• Electrical installation and maintenance experience

• Electronic fault-finding to component level

• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or steam systems

• 18th Edition qualification
