Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced engineering environment, supporting maintenance activities across production machinery and site infrastructure. This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical fault-finding experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a rotating shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Use electrical test equipment confidently, including multimeters
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures
Complete maintenance documentation and provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives
Support effective shift handovers and communicate clearly with engineering and production teams
Report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns in line with company procedures
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Electrical bias with strong fault-finding skills
C&G / NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
Experience within an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Confidence using electrical testing equipment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Skills:
Apprenticeship-trained background
Mechanical maintenance or fabrication experience
Electrical installation and maintenance experience
Electronic fault-finding to component level
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or steam systems
18th Edition qualification
