Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

A Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a 60/40 electrical bias, responsible for maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all plant and machinery

• Respond to and resolve mechanical and electrical breakdowns efficiently

• Electrical fault finding on PLC-controlled systems, motors, drives, and control panels

• Perform mechanical maintenance including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and gearboxes

• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment upgrades

• Accurately log maintenance activities and parts used within the Asset Management system

• Ensure all work complies with HSE, GMP, and GEP standards

• Contribute to reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment

• Strong electrical fault-finding capability

• Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance systems

• Experience working within a shift-based role

• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong team ethic

Desirable Skills:

• Experience within plastics, recycling, or similar processing environments

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement exposure
