Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working within a technical team, you’ll provide hands-on mechanical and electrical support, reduce downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement and performance targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, repair, and breakdown response
Deliver proactive planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment uptime
Identify root causes of failures and implement preventative actions
Support continuous improvement projects, upgrades, and plant improvements
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Work closely with Production to maintain safe, efficient operations
Accurately record all work using the CMMS
Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and legislative standards
Support housekeeping and assist with plant operations when required
Report accidents, near misses, and equipment performance issues appropriately
The Ideal Candidate will have:
A time-served apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Strong multi-skilled experience with both mechanical and electrical competence
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Proven fault-finding ability and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. SAP, Agility, Shires or similar)
The ability to work collaboratively with production teams and supervisors
