Job Role & Responsibilities:
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Biased) will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing automated production and conveyor systems within a clean food production environment. The role supports safe, efficient operations by minimising downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repair on automated machinery
Wiring and maintenance of control panels, inverters, sensors, and three-phase systems
Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, and valves
Maintenance of automated conveyors, slicing, wrapping, and labelling machinery
Supporting production by responding quickly to breakdowns and planned maintenance
Working collaboratively within a small shift-based engineering team
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Strong electrical bias with proven hands-on fault-finding capability
Experience working in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
Confidence working under pressure in a fast-paced production setting
A practical, proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
Experience maintaining automated conveyor and picking systems
Desirable Skills:
Electrical qualification or completed apprenticeship
Experience with clean food production machinery
Familiarity with automated production lines and control systems
Benefits Include:
Salary up to £50,000 (depending on experience)
4 on / 4 off day shift (06:00–18:00)
