Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
A hands-on Engineering role supporting manufacturing operations within a fast-paced industrial environment. You’ll carry out reactive and planned maintenance on production equipment, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with production and senior engineering staff to ensure plant reliability, safety, and efficiency across a rotating days and nights shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out remedial, reactive, and planned maintenance on industrial machinery
Diagnose and resolve mechanical and basic electrical faults safely and efficiently
Support continuous improvement activities and small engineering projects
Maintain site assets to maximise uptime, efficiency, and equipment lifespan
Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and safe systems of work
Accurately record PPMs and maintenance activity within a CMMS
Communicate effectively with production teams and ensure clear shift handovers
Support contractor supervision and on-site safety compliance
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environment
Recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3/4, BTEC, C&G or equivalent)
Apprentice-trained background
Mechanical or Electrical bias with basic competencyin both disciplines
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
A proactive, self-motivated approach with good decision-making skills
Confidence working a 4 on / 4 off rotating days & nights shift pattern
Desirable Skills:
FMCG or high-volume manufacturing experience
Steam systems, water treatment, or heat recovery exposure
