Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive engineering team in a clean, automated FMCG environment, maintaining and improving production performance across a range of machinery including fillers, cappers, conveyors, and packaging/process equipment. Your key focus will be to minimise downtime, improve OEE, and deliver engineering excellence through both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
Logging all work through the Workmate CMMS system and completing PPM schedules on time.
Supporting line setup and implementing continuous improvement to enhance performance.
Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, and food manufacturing standards.
Using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement (CI) tools to reduce recurring faults.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A multi-skilled engineering background (mechanical or electrical bias).
Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or above).
Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing (desirable).
Strong fault-finding, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated, organised, and detail oriented.
A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
Desirable Skills:
Experience using Workmate or similar CMMS systems.
Knowledge of Lean/CI tools such as RCA, 5S, and TPM.
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and GMP standards.
Flexible and adaptable approach within a fast-paced environment.
