Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer – Food Manufacturing

Rate: £38 per hour - Ltd Co
Shift: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Contract Length: Ongoing

We’re seeking an experienced Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a busy food manufacturing site in West London. You’ll play a key role in keeping production and packaging machinery running efficiently through both planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair conveyors, packing lines, and production equipment

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults (gearboxes, pumps, bearings, valves)

• Carry out basic electrical fault-finding and minor repairs

• Deliver planned and breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site standards

Requirements

• Mechanical maintenance experience within FMCG or food production

• Hands-on knowledge of pumps, valves, gearboxes, and bearings

• Basic electrical skills and confidence in fault-finding

• Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure

Desirable

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent

• Previous experience with automated conveyors and packing lines
