Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
This role focuses on maintaining and improving all production and associated equipment — both electrically and mechanically — while ensuring safe practices and compliance with food industry legislation.
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and associated equipment.
Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks as part of the site’s Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy.
Identify and implement opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with food production standards and regulations.
Support wider production operations as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Fully qualified engineer, preferably time-served, with an electrical bias and solid mechanical engineering knowledge.
Experience in food production environments is essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and flexible mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with packaging and processing machinery used in food manufacturing.
Experience contributing to or leading equipment improvement or upgrade initiatives.
Understanding of industry-standard safety and hygiene protocols.
