Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Engineer responsible for maintaining and optimising all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and site infrastructure. Focused on ensuring reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting operational excellence in a high-performing FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Diagnose faults, repair equipment, and support shutdowns, inspections, and projects.
Apply Lean methodologies (TPM, RCA, PDCA) to drive continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
Record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and asset data in SAP PM or similar systems.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, including LOTO and Permit to Work.
Support training, SOPs, and development of engineering capability across the site.
Collaborate with operational teams and external partners to optimise site performance.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in engineering maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, food, beverage, or FMCG.
Multi-skilled in mechanical, electrical, and control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA).
Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental best practices.
Proficiency in IT and maintenance management systems (SAP PM preferred).
NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline; time-served apprenticeship.
