Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on high-speed production machinery

• Respond swiftly to unscheduled plant stoppages, minimizing downtime

• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement long-term solutions

• Support and collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize plant efficiency

• Understand product processes and follow all quality and safety procedures

• Oversee and contribute to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule

• Work with systems involving pneumatics, bearings, and 3-phase motors

Desirable Skills:

• Recognized mechanical engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds

• Knowledge of 3-phase motors and industrial control systems

• Experience with pneumatic systems and bearing setups in a manufacturing environment

• Background in FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, or heavy industry

• 17th or 18th Edition – desirable but not essential

• A proactive approach to identifying issues and improving reliability
