Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have:
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on high-speed production machinery
Respond swiftly to unscheduled plant stoppages, minimizing downtime
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement long-term solutions
Support and collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize plant efficiency
Understand product processes and follow all quality and safety procedures
Oversee and contribute to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule
Work with systems involving pneumatics, bearings, and 3-phase motors
Desirable Skills:
Recognized mechanical engineering qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds
Knowledge of 3-phase motors and industrial control systems
Experience with pneumatic systems and bearing setups in a manufacturing environment
Background in FMCG, food, pharmaceutical, or heavy industry
17th or 18th Edition – desirable but not essential
A proactive approach to identifying issues and improving reliability
