£48,000 basic + up to £11,000 bonus | Company vehicle | Overtime | Manufacturer training

Are you an experienced field service or maintenance engineer with a background in packaging or food machinery? Do you enjoy working independently, solving technical challenges, and travelling across the UK and Europe?

We’re representing a global manufacturer of high-spec filling and sealing equipment, widely used across the FMCG and food production sector. As their UK operation continues to grow, they’re looking to add a high-calibre Field Service Engineer to their team.

The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on role involving installation, commissioning, servicing and breakdown support at customer sites across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally Germany. You’ll also attend training and product development sessions at the manufacturer’s German HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning of food packaging machinery

• Routine servicing and reactive breakdown support

• Customer training and technical advice on-site

• Liaison with German engineering teams for advanced support

• Occasional stays away from home (fully expensed)

What You’ll Need:

• Experience in service, maintenance, or commissioning of automated machinery

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills (PLC knowledge a plus)

• A proactive, customer-facing approach

• Full UK driving licence

• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight stays
