Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to support a range of manufacturing and FMCG sites across the Norwich and surrounding areas on an ad-hoc shift cover basis.
This is a great opportunity for engineers already working permanent shifts who are looking to pick up additional flexible work around their current rota.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.

• Fault-find on electrical control systems, motors, drives, sensors, and associated production machinery.

• Support site engineering teams during breakdowns, busy production periods, shutdowns, holidays, and sickness cover.

• Assist with installations, upgrades, and general maintenance tasks where required.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.

• Previous experience working within manufacturing, FMCG, or production environments.

• Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to work independently and confidently on shift.

• Flexibility and reliability for ad-hoc 12-hour day and night shifts.

• Own tools and full PPE, including long sleeve shirts, safety boots, hard hat, orange hi-vis, ear defenders, safety glasses, and personal padlocks for isolation procedures.

Desirable Skills:

• 18th Edition qualification.

• Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites.

• Knowledge of electrical control systems, drives, motors, sensors, and automated production machinery.

• Previous experience supporting shift cover, shutdowns, and breakdown response.
