Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
An exciting opportunity for an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a small, close-knit maintenance team within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role focuses on keeping production moving through effective fault finding, breakdown response, and planned maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery. You’ll be hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dusty environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems
Diagnose and resolve faults on motors, sensors, wiring, panels, and control systems
Read and interpret electrical drawings and diagrams
Support PPM schedules and lead on preventative maintenance where required
Work on conveyors, mixers, kilns, ovens, and other heavy industrial machinery
Complete electrical logs, fault reports, and maintenance records accurately
Support machinery upgrades, installations, and site improvement projects
Work collaboratively within a shift-based engineering team to ensure plant uptime
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Electrical qualification at NVQ / C&G Level 3 or equivalent
Apprenticeship background desirable (or minimum 3 years hands-on experience if HNC/Degree qualified)
Strong electrical fault-finding skills in an industrial setting
Solid understanding of motor theory, panels, sensors, and wiring
Experience working in dirty/dusty manufacturing environments
Ability to work Panama day and night shifts
A proactive, practical mindset
Desirable Skills:
PLC knowledge (Siemens experience advantageous)
Experience with AC/DC drives
Mechanical changeovers and basic mechanical fault finding
Experience with industrial control systems and automation
Electronics and instrumentation experience
