Job Role & Responsibilities:

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer working on a fast paced manufacturing site. You’ll keep production assets safe, reliable and efficient through planned, reactive and improvement work, supporting colleagues to deliver high quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

• Maintain, fault find and repair electrical & electro mechanical plant and machinery.

• Improve OEE through continuous improvement, reliability/innovation projects and Lean practices.

• Program and modify PLCs (Siemens S7/TIA Portal) and operate preventative electrical maintenance systems.

• Use electrical test equipment to diagnose faults; maintain critical spares.

• Uphold machine safety standards and contribute to RA/SSOW creation and reviews.

• Ensure quality compliance in line with BS EN ISO 9001.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline (ONC/BTEC to HNC level or equivalent).

• 17th/18th Edition (IET Wiring Regulations).

• Time served Electrician with manufacturing experience (heavy industry or FMCG preferred).

• Strong PLC experience (Siemens S7/TIA Portal), electrical motors & pneumatics knowledge.

• Solid mechanical aptitude; excellent analytical, fault finding and problem solving skills.

• Strong communicator and team player with good H&S awareness.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Agility (or similar) CMMS and agility/condition based maintenance.

• Lean/CI tools (5S, RCA, Kaizen) and EHS best practices.

• Preventative and predictive maintenance techniques; improving OEE/MTBF/MTTR.

• Forklift and factory equipment operation (advantageous).
