Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer role within a large, modern food manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving highly automated production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment, working a Panama shift pattern across days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive and planned maintenance (PPM) of plant, machinery and services

• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair

• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams (motors, sensors, controls)

• Ensuring all work meets food safety, GMP, H&S and environmental standards

• Championing health & safety on shift

• Identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes

• Accurate completion of CMMS records and shift documentation

• Supporting shift communication and acting as a key engineering contact on shift

• Monitoring basic stock, spares and maintenance resources

• Ensuring buildings, plant and equipment are safe and compliant

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• An electrical qualification or strong multi-skilled experience with electrical confidence

• Proven maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment

• Strong electrical fault-finding capability

• Experience working with automated production machinery

• Ability to work in a wet, cold, chilled production environment

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong communication skills

Desirable Skills:

• FMCG or food manufacturing experience

• Multi-skilled electrical and mechanical background

• CMMS experience

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Continuous improvement mindset
