Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy site. You will maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring production runs smoothly in a heavy industrial FMCG environment with older machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs.
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Work on older plant and equipment including pumps, hydraulics, gearboxes, valves, and generators.
Conduct PLC diagnostics and fault finding.
Assist with planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong multi-skilled electrical and mechanical experience.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; time-served apprenticeship preferred.
17th/18th Edition electrical qualification.
Experience in heavy industry or FMCG environments.
Confident with PLC fault-finding (any brand).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with older plant and machinery.
Knowledge of industrial hydraulics, gearboxes, and valves.
Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
