Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy site. You will maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring production runs smoothly in a heavy industrial FMCG environment with older machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs.

• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

• Work on older plant and equipment including pumps, hydraulics, gearboxes, valves, and generators.

• Conduct PLC diagnostics and fault finding.

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong multi-skilled electrical and mechanical experience.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering; time-served apprenticeship preferred.

• 17th/18th Edition electrical qualification.

• Experience in heavy industry or FMCG environments.

• Confident with PLC fault-finding (any brand).

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with older plant and machinery.

• Knowledge of industrial hydraulics, gearboxes, and valves.

• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.
