Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join an established manufacturing environment on a 5-month contract. The role will focus on maintaining production and utility equipment, with particular emphasis on boilers and associated systems, while supporting both mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site equipment.
Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
Maintain and support boiler and associated utility plant equipment.
Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
Minimise downtime and support maximum production uptime.
Work collaboratively with the engineering team on continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and to required standards.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
A mechanical bias with good electrical maintenance capability.
Essential: Previous boiler experience.
Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience.
Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, packaging or automated production environment is preferred.
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Availability to start at short notice.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with boilers and utility systems.
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
Electrical fault-finding and maintenance knowledge.
Experience with automated production machinery.
A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.
