Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Fault-find within control panels and work with inverters
Maintain production and packaging machinery
Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
Support site reliability and minimise production downtime
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Work safely and effectively within a fast-paced production environment
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
Experience working with inverters and control panels
Strong reactive maintenance skills
Basic mechanical maintenance experience
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
Previous UK manufacturing experience
A positive, proactive and hands-on approach
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Desirable Skills:
Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience
Multi-skilled maintenance background
Strong mechanical fault-finding experience
Experience within packaging, automated or high-speed production environments
NARIC-equivalent qualifications will also be considered
