Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment. This is a days-based role, responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, improving equipment reliability and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical and mechanical maintenance.

• Diagnose faults and repair production machinery and site equipment.

• Support preventative maintenance programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.

• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental standards.

• Produce and manage permit-to-work documentation where required.

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal departments.

• Support the ongoing reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Electrical maintenance experience within a UK manufacturing environment.

• A recognised electrical engineering qualification and 18th Edition certification.

• HNC/ONC (or equivalent) in Engineering.

• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.

• Previous experience using CMMS systems.

• Good IT and communication skills.

• A full UK driving licence.

• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or other fast-paced production environments.

• PLC and process control knowledge.

• IOSH Managing Safely and/or Food Hygiene certification.

• Experience managing contractors and permit-to-work systems.

• Knowledge of milling, bakery, ingredients, bulk handling or process manufacturing environments.
