Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a large engineering team within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role involves maintaining and fault-finding on a range of automated production machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime. The position operates on a 4 on 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance

• Fault finding and repair on automated machinery and production equipment

• Work on conveyors, mixers, ovens, kilns, and associated machinery

• Support continuous improvement and machine reliability initiatives

• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times

• Communicate effectively during shift handovers and within the wider engineering team

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a heavy industrial, FMCG, aerospace, or manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills

• Experience working with automated machinery

• A proactive attitude and ability to work well within a team

• Comfortable working in a dusty, dirty, and fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills:

• Experience within heavy engineering or automated production environments

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience

• Continuous improvement mindset
