Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a planned shutdown project within a fast-paced food production environment. This role will involve carrying out maintenance, repair, and upgrade work on a range of production machinery to ensure shutdown targets are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance, strip-downs, and rebuilds on production machinery

• Work on processing and packaging equipment including conveyors, mixers, ovens, and production lines

• Diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical components where required

• Support installation and upgrade projects during the shutdown period

• Work efficiently to meet strict project deadlines

• Adhere to all health & safety and food safety regulations

• Collaborate effectively within a team environment during intensive shutdown operations

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Experience as a Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineer

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing or bakery environment

• Proven experience working on shutdowns, maintenance projects, or short-term engineering contracts

• Strong knowledge of production and processing machinery

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a team

• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts

• Availability to start at short notice

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working on bakery production equipment

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Understanding of food industry compliance and safety standards
