Our client is a leading manufacturer within the FMCG sector, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a wide customer base. With a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and product consistency, they operate using modern manufacturing processes and maintain high industry standards across their operations.
We are seeking a proactive Process Reliability Engineer – Electrical to support and improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of electrical and control systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on reducing downtime, improving asset performance, and driving a proactive maintenance culture through data analysis, fault finding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and improve Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules and drive compliance
Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and FMEA on recurring equipment issues
Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF and MTTR to identify trends and improvements
Reduce breakdowns, stoppages, and recurring faults across production equipment
Use CMMS systems for maintenance planning, tracking, and reporting
Fault find on PLCs, VSDs, sensors, control systems, and PCBs
Support upgrades and modifications to improve equipment reliability and performance
Work on power distribution and control systems within production environments
Support maintenance activities on high-speed production and packaging machinery
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to prioritise maintenance activities
Ensure compliance with health & safety, GMP, and food safety standards
Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience within reliability or maintenance engineering
Background working in FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environments
Strong electrical fault-finding and controls experience
Experience working with PLCs, drives, and automated systems
Knowledge of reliability tools including RCA and FMEA
Experience using CMMS systems and analysing maintenance data
Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
Experience working with high-speed production or packaging equipment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel or similar tools
Ability to support and develop fault-finding capabilities within engineering teams
