Our client is a global leader in the FMCG industry with high-volume manufacturing, supplying major food, beverage and household brands.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

Provide a hands-on, multi-skilled engineering service to maintain maximum equipment uptime through reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and continuous improvement. Support safe, efficient production across a high-volume 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly and effectively to production breakdowns

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance using CMMS

• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime

• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

• Complete accurate maintenance documentation

• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Electrical Responsibilities:

• Fault-finding on motors, sensors, drives, control panels, and safety circuits

• Safe isolation and electrical repairs, including basic PLC fault-finding

Mechanical Responsibilities:

• Mechanical fault-finding and repairs on production machinery

• Work on gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, pneumatics, and hydraulics

• Strip-down, rebuild, and alignment of mechanical assemblies

• Support machine changeovers and mechanical improvements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven maintenance experience in FMCG, packaging, plastics, food, or beverage manufacturing

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering

• Strong multi-skilled engineering background (mechanical and electrical)

• Experience working 4 on / 4 off shifts

• Strong fault-finding, teamwork, and communication skills

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with extrusion, injection, or stretch blow moulding machinery

• Familiarity with automated production and packaging equipment

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
