Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the team. In this role, you’ll maintain, repair, and optimise a wide range of electrical, control, and automation systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly, troubleshooting complex faults, and contributing to continuous improvement projects across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of electrical systems, automation controls, and instrumentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and control faults, identify root causes, and implement effective long-term fixes.
Work with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC systems (programming or diagnostics advantageous).
Apply process control knowledge to improve performance and reliability of plant equipment.
Use electrical and instrumentation diagnostic tools to ensure optimal operation.
Read and interpret process flow diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical drawings.
Conduct pre-maintenance inspections and ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Work with industrial utilities such as compressed air and steam generation systems.
Adhere to all site safety procedures, electrical standards (18th Edition), and hygiene policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Apprenticeship, BTEC, Diploma, or equivalent).
