Our client is a leading manufacturer renowned for excellence at their fully automated site, delivering consistent and high-quality food for over 40 years.
We are looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment operating on a 4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights shift pattern. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business going through significant investment, modernisation, and cultural change, offering excellent long-term development and progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of automated production and site equipment, helping to improve machinery reliability, safety, and overall site performance.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and site machinery
Diagnose faults and minimise downtime across automated systems
Maintain and improve conveyors, motors, drive systems, PLCs, inverters, control panels, and electrical systems
Support maintenance of process and packing equipment including mixers, extruders, grinders, ovens, and conveyors
Work with CMMS systems to manage maintenance records and schedules
Assist with continuous improvement projects and site upgrades
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to improve operational performance
Multi-skilled maintenance experience within FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong electrical maintenance experience (essential)
Mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Relevant engineering qualifications/apprenticeship
Experience working with PLCs, inverters, automated systems, and control panels
Knowledge of conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
A proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement and progression
Ability to work well within a fast-changing, team-focused environment
Experience working with gas-fired ovens, steam boilers, pipework, and valves
Experience maintaining process and packing machinery
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
Previous involvement in improvement and modernisation projects
Interest in further training and development opportunities
