Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
You’ll lead a talented team of three engineers, helping keep our fast-paced, high-volume production lines running smoothly. You will play a hands-on role in maintenance, performance improvement, and team development.
Lead, motivate, and mentor a small team of engineers to achieve performance and maintenance goals.
Plan and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
Provide hands-on technical support with fault finding, repair, and reliability improvements.
Manage and coordinate contractors and engineering suppliers on site.
Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to efficiency projects across the site.
The ideal candidate will have:
An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent apprenticeship).
Solid experience in a high-speed manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a small engineering team.
Strong technical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.
Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving and IT skills.
A proactive, safety-conscious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
Desirable Skills:
Electrical bias with controls or network experience.
Background in textile, laundry, or similar industrial production environments.
Experience managing external contractors and engineering suppliers.
