Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

You’ll lead a talented team of three engineers, helping keep our fast-paced, high-volume production lines running smoothly.  You will play a hands-on role in maintenance, performance improvement, and team development.

• Lead, motivate, and mentor a small team of engineers to achieve performance and maintenance goals.

• Plan and deliver preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

• Provide hands-on technical support with fault finding, repair, and reliability improvements.

• Manage and coordinate contractors and engineering suppliers on site.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards.

• Drive continuous improvement and contribute to efficiency projects across the site.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent apprenticeship).

• Solid experience in a high-speed manufacturing or FMCG environment.

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire a small engineering team.

• Strong technical knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems.

• Confident communicator with excellent problem-solving and IT skills.

• A proactive, safety-conscious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills:

• Electrical bias with controls or network experience.

• Background in textile, laundry, or similar industrial production environments.

• Experience managing external contractors and engineering suppliers.
