Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the site's energy centre and utilities infrastructure to support production on site. This is a hands-on, shift-based role involving independent work across:
Steam/boiler plant
Air compressors and compressed air systems
Refrigeration systems
Reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment
Key duties include breakdown response, preventive maintenance, safe working practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
NVQ Level 3 and HNC in mechanical or electrical engineering
A time-served apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment
Strong technical skills and ability to work independently on shifts
Sound knowledge of safety systems and procedures
Desirable Skills:
Experience with steam/boiler systems
Background in FMCG or beverage manufacturing
Familiarity with RO, compressed air, or ammonia-based refrigeration systems
