Job Role & Key Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide efficient electrical support to ensure smooth production operations in a fast-paced processing environment.
Routine maintenance and repair of electrical systems and machinery (e.g., conveyors, stunning machines, chillers, packaging lines)
Troubleshooting electrical faults including motors, PLCs, and control panels
Performing electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications
Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
Inspecting, testing, and maintaining automated control systems
Supporting the production team with technical electrical issues
Participating in equipment commissioning/decommissioning
Responding to breakdowns and contributing to shift continuity
Completing job reports and collaborating with the shift leader and wider team
The ideal candidate will have:
City & Guilds or BTEC Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
3+ years of electrical engineering experience in an FMCG or similar environment
Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems
Health & Safety certification and working knowledge of safety practices
A proactive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Skills:
Experience in food production settings
Familiarity with water treatment systems and automated production lines
Experience with commissioning and decommissioning industrial equipment
