Job Role & Key Responsibilities

Permanent, full-time role based in Newmarket, maintaining facilities, including stately house buildings, grounds, and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, and generators

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently

• Carry out preventive maintenance to optimise performance and extend equipment lifespan

• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime

• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations with contractors and service providers

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs

• Assist in planning and executing upgrades and system enhancements

• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

• Undertake additional tasks as directed by management

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (ONC, BTEC, or similar)

• Completed a suitable multi-skilled apprenticeship

• Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical role, ideally in facilities management or estate maintenance

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance

• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues across mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to carry out preventive maintenance and manage multiple priorities

• Excellent communication skills and professional presentation

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in high-end hotel, private estate, or luxury property maintenance

• Long-term commitment to an employer
