Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a contract role at a high-performing manufacturing facility. You’ll focus on ensuring machinery reliability and supporting efficient production through both planned and reactive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to equipment breakdowns in production areas
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults using documentation and historical data
• Collaborate with operational staff to minimize downtime
• Train production operators on minor maintenance tasks
• Maintain equipment to a high standard and support continuous improvement
• Identify and resolve recurring issues to improve machine performance

The Ideal Candidate:

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent)

• Strong electrical fault-finding skills

• Experience in Food, FMCG, or Packaging manufacturing (desirable)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Well-organised and independent working style

• Proactive and team-oriented approach

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with production line automation, sensors, and control systems

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies

• Understanding of both reactive and proactive maintenance practices
