As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and optimizing productivity in our food manufacturing facility.

Position: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: West London

Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum

Responsibilities of a Continuous Improvement Engineer:

– Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process, from raw material
intake to final product distribution.
– Conduct comprehensive process assessments to identify areas for improvement, waste reduction, and cost
optimization.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices.
– Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to analyse processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement
solutions.
– Lead and facilitate process improvement projects, ensuring timely completion and achievement of desired outcomes.
– Train and mentor employees on continuous improvement methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence
and accountability.
– Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop performance metrics to measure process effectiveness and
efficiency.
– Conduct root cause analysis investigations to identify underlying issues and implement sustainable corrective
actions.
– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement –
methodologies.

Requirements for a Continuous Improvement Engineer:

– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
– Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer within the food manufacturing industry or a similar fast-
paced production environment.
– Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement tools.
– Experience with process mapping, value stream mapping, and waste elimination techniques.
– Proficiency in using data analysis tools and statistical software to drive decision-making.
– Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional
teams.
– Proactive mindset with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
– Professional certifications in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
